In California...

5 is the new 50!

Prior to January 1, 2019, the state of California only required employers with 50 or more employees to provide harassment prevention training to all managers and supervisors only.

Today, the Golden State requires all employers with 5 or more employees to provide training to all employees and supervisors including: out-of-state employees, temps or seasonal employees and/or independent contractors.

Non-supervisor employees are required to receive 1 hour of harassment prevention training while managers and supervisors are still required to receive 2 hours of harassment prevention training.
